Cold sore after cut?

Hi all

Getting married this weekend and I suffer with cold sores. I've been sooo anxious about getting one just before the wedding and thought I was doing well until today.

I was drinking a coffee from a takeaway coffee shop and cut my lip in the plastic bit.

I have a little red lump now and wonder if this will turn into a cold sore? I've read that injuries to lip can bring them on

I'm soo sad 😔

You could ask your GP for a course of acyclovir? Given your upcoming wedding?

Thank you. I have tried them in the past and still got a cold sore. I started taking them this evening. Fingers crossed
