Power cut nearby, could this explain why…

Earlier we had a fuse trip in the house (downstairs sockets). We weren’t using any appliance at the time- the oven was on, but it remained on even when the fuse tripped.

I’ve just found out there was a power cut nearby locally about 20 minutes after, affecting about 5 or 6 streets in total including the one next to ours. Lots of people’s VM internet is also down tonight - of course the box for this is in our lounge.

We just switched it back on at the time and everything seems to be working and has since but I’m worried there could be a problem somewhere that caused it to trip and can’t shake that worry - I have anxiety. Would you say the powercut was probably to blame or will that have been a coincidence?

It's possibly connected.
Maybe a surge, in which case your fuse box did exactly as designed and protected itself/you

I wouldn't worry about it
