Yesterday evening, I was waiting for my bus home. I lit a cigarette as I always do (don’t flame me for that, I have been trying to give up). This is a large commuter bus stop (not UK) there is an ashtray and I was standing right beside it, as were others, they were all men.
A man came up to my side, body slammed me and told me to move. So I did and continued my cigarette standing beside others that were smoking. I looked behind to see where he was standing and it was 3m behind and 1m closer to the road.
About a minute later, another body slam and the man shouted “what the fuck did you not understand? I told you to fucking move.” He pulled my cigarette out of my hand and threw it on the ground and then shoved me on my shoulders.
The Glaswegian in me came out and I asked him what the fuck he thought he was doing and shoved him back. Then he jumped into the next bus so I had no time to take a photo.
There were 30 people at this bus stop and not one person said a thing to him. Not even the other men smoking.
Just wanted to rant as it has really scared me, that not one person would do anything when a woman is being attacked in rush hour.
