Belfast question

going to be in Belfast with my 6 year old for a night in a couple of weeks. We’re going to the W5 museum and looking for somewhere nearby to eat dinner around 6/6.30pm. Any suggestions for somewhere kid friendly? Zizzis is already booked at that time, which would have been my choice for ease.

we’re staying in the Titanic hotel and likely walking, so need to keep that in mind.

Also how long would you recommend for the titanic museum with a 6 year old? We’ll go to that the day after. Anything else you think we should fit in before leaving for the airport at about 5pm? Thank you!

The titanic takes 90 mins if you don't read/stop at every exhibit . A lot you can walk through and get a gist , a six year old will be fine, you may feel cheated. The last exhibit will enthral the six year old, and reduce you to tears - be warned

Everywhere is kid friendly, kids are welcomed into any eatery and there is always a child menu

Victoria square is a nice short walk across a bridge and your 6 year old might enjoy seeing the big fish (statue) and Nuala with her hula, on the other side of the river. Victoria square has lots of eateries for every taste and also build a bear and the lego store is coming (not sure when though) you can get a lift up to the look out platform at the top for nice views over belfast.

Leave yourself PLENTY of time for the Titanic museum. It really is brilliant and I couldn't get my kids out of there! They were 5 and 8 at the time so I would think a 6 year old would love it!

@shorttwoshot what would you say is plenty of time? My child is really interested in the Titanic at the moment (hence the trip), so I think she will want to see it all/be quite engaged.

I would allow at least 3-4 hours especially if you want to go in the cafe and shop aswell

@shorttwoshot thank you. I expect she will want to see as much of it as possible, so helpful to know how long to expect. If she isn’t interested as expected we’ll go for a walk
