I am completely stumped as to what to get DS for his 18th birthday.

He doesn't really drink (I know I know he isn't 18 yet so shouldn't drink anyway but in the real world he obviously has drank before and isnt that into it)
He has a car.(bought himself)
He has private plates for his car (bought himself)
He already has a festival and a lads holiday booked (paid for himself)
He has an expensive watch (16th birthday present) and can't wear jewellery because of his job.

He likes cars, the gym and his girlfriend (not necessarily in that order)

Sorry, I didn't see all of your posts before made my suggestions!

Is he interested in any kind of sport or hobby other than the gym? Bikes, running etc? If he's not a big drinker what does his free time with his male friends look like, what sort of things does he do to socialise?

It's really tough to think of a keepsake, there are all sorts of things like fancy pens etc, but would he like them?

Is there any kind of household item he'd want, like a good coffee maker if he is into coffee?

He spends his time with his friends messing with cars or at the gym. No other sports or hobbies. Maybe I need to see if his friends have any ideas on car stuff to buy him.

Just ask him!

Tried that he says he doesn't want or need anything.

How about a voucher for an Interrail ticket - he can go alone, or drum up friends/girlfriend to go with him. He sounds like he has a very adult life, Interrailing could give him a bit of spontaneity, staying hostels, meeting orher young people from other countries etc.

It was my plan for my DSs 18th, but Covid hit.

Is he into working on cars mechanically or just driving them?
I think asking his friends might be worth a go, cant make it any worse!

Bit niche, but a PADI diving course and certification? We did this for ours. About £400.

A proof sovereign from his birth year. It will hold its value. He doesn't have to wear it as jewellery. It's a keepsake of his 18th

He works on them so some tools etc would be an idea. I wouldn't know what to get without his friends though.
