Dd has a new place

Just want to share something positive because sometimes life can be a bit shit and I want to share positive things to.

So excited for dd . She is moving into a new flat. She went to see it today. Its a new build social housing. She's the first to live there . It even comes with flooring, dishwasher ,fridge freezer,washer dryer. Oh and a heating system where she just pays a small amount per month and doesn't have to worry about the cost of having it on through winter.

And my selfish side I no longer have to do the morning school run with her . She can also pick her son up from school herself and we both go opposite directions. I knlw that sounds extremely petty but the peace will be lovely

I bet she's thrilled! Will admit I'm a little jealous. Nothing better than a fresh, new home to call your own.

You may not need to help with school runs but I imagine you'll be asked to help decorate at some point soon.

Does she have a garden and/or parking space? Those seem to be rare finds these days.

There is a communal garden. There's parking . But she does not drive but may useful for later.

She may ask for help with decorating not sure . She can't decorate for a year though.

Yes definitely. She's going to be further away from me. In the same borough still though. She can still come over but its not as easy which is a way Is not a bad thing. Well I hope not anyway.

It takes me a while to travel to visit my mum, it makes visit nicer and more worthwhile when we make the effort to go 💐
