I looked before Christmas and was too far away to book. I've just gone to book now for the date we're there and it's saying online fully booked! What's the chances of just arriving and getting tickets.

I went two years ago and whilst I had tickets, there was a walk up and pay queue too

BlueWhippetsForever · 03/02/2025 22:05

I went in the summer and booked, but there was a walk up queue (but not all the way to the top I don't think?)

OK thanks. We wanted the lift ideally. Either 2nd floor or top. I'll have to keep looking I guess. Thank you.

On September we just queued and went up.

If I remember correctly they release lots more 7 days before the date. When are you going?

HGC2 · 04/02/2025 00:28

They will release more slots nearer the time and you can queue on the day but you could have a long wait

Don't bother with the Eiffel Tower. Overpriced & far too crowded (dangerously so at times, IMO).

Go up the Tour Montparnasse instead. Cheaper, not as crowded & you get the full view of the Eiffel Tower instead 😀

Jumping on this as I have found the same. How bad were the queues?

You can queue to walk to the first and then walk to the second. It sounds nightmare but it isn’t. It takes less than 5 mins to walk up the first. Can’t remember for the second but you feel awesome having done it. Good luck

We went to the roof of the Galleries Lafayette (department store) and the views were amazing. I think it's near the opera.

Last summer we couldn't get lift tickets either so decided to get stair tickets. I was a bit worried as I'm afraid of heights.
It was ok, the climb itself was fine but we are reasonably fit. The height was challenging for me but so glad we did it!
There was a huge walk in queue in ye day, no way we would have waited

They weren't too bad when we went. Looked long, but moved pretty fast. We couldn't go to the top though, only to the second floor (which was fine).

We also went up the Arc de Triomphe, which wasn't too bad for queues and gave great views.
