What time are your work day alarms set for?

Riveting thread but talking to my friend earlier who was saying she had such early alarms set for work, when I asked what time she said 8am 😂 she has no kids and works mostly
from home.
Mine aren’t set particularly early tbh, Monday Wednesday and Friday I wfh and have alarms set for 7:15 so I can get ds up and send him off to school, either have a walk/swim/spin/shower etc before logging on and Tuesday and Thursdays it’s set for 6:45 so I can leave at 7:45 to get to work.
I wake up earlier than my alarms but these are my safety measures!
I hate mornings and consider myself very lucky that I don’t have to wake up horribly early and that my commute is usually 30-40 minutes in my car listening to podcasts.
What time are you up on a work day?

Alarm at 7.30am and in the office at 9.30am. I've always been a night owl and I'd get up at 10am if I could but sadly not possible. My 1-8pm job really suited me 20 years ago pre-child!

RosieLeaLovesTea · 03/02/2025 22:43

5am Monday - Friday.

TheOddSocks · 03/02/2025 22:44

On office days 6am, on WFH days 6.45 to make sure eldest DD is up and ready for her bus to school

Keepgettingolder81 · 03/02/2025 22:44

05.25
05.30

TheChosenTwo · 03/02/2025 22:47

I hate being rushed in the mornings too but I figure as I hate mornings anyway then I’d rather cram everything into the time I leave myself than start doing morning duties earlier and essentially prolong the misery!

Ouch @AlexandraJJ - early office start.

I’m up at 7 to get ready for school run and back home for 9 to WFH. Wondering what time people go to bed too? I feel like I need more sleep now I’m edging towards 50!

Calochortus · 03/02/2025 22:51

I’ve been getting up around 9-9.30 since December, DH is an early riser and he’s been happily dealing with everything so I can lie in. That’s about to change though and we’ll be working stupid hours as lambing season is approaching and we’ll be dead on our feet. We set alarms at stupid times and tag team from mid Feb.

bazingarobin · 03/02/2025 22:52

4.45 am. So I've time to go to the gym. Then go home, get ds ready for the day centre and start work at 9.

MrsBellamy · 03/02/2025 22:53

6am on office days but aim to leave the house at 8am - I have a dog to walk and 3 teenagers to chase out of the house and make sure they don't miss the bus

RobinEllacotStrike · 03/02/2025 22:57

M W Th - 5:50 for yoga before work
T - 8am. My lie in day. I just have to make sure dd gets out the door on time
F - 7am

Strokethefurrywall · 03/02/2025 22:58

If I'm not working out at 5am my alarm is for 6am, get out of bed around 6.10.
Kids up by 6.30, we leave at 7.10, they're at school by 7.15, I'm at my desk by 7.30am.

DiscoBeat · 03/02/2025 22:59

I'm retired but still have to get my kids to school (45 min drive) so I set the alarm for 6.30. Roll on the school holidays (they're teenagers).

Sowewenttothestation · 03/02/2025 23:00

6.20

i don't leave for work till 7.45 but need a gentle start!

What time do you go to bed? 4.45 sounds brutal!

Queenofheart · 03/02/2025 23:15

5.15
coffee, read, then 6.15 set off for swim
Home just after 7, treadmill for 20/30 mins, then prep dinner and get ready for work

mawik · 03/02/2025 23:18

My alarms on week days are like this…
6.10
6.15
6.20
6.25
6.30
6.40
6.45 alarm plus radio alarm!
I aim to be out of house by 7.05, so can be at work at 7.45 ready to start at 8
🫣😀

Enko · 03/02/2025 23:19

I started a new job 3 months ago and my alarm now goes off at 7 15- 730am feels like a lie in each day after 3 years of 6 30 am.

InfoSecInTheCity · 03/02/2025 23:19

6.20am, leave at 7.30am for breakfast club

denhaag · 03/02/2025 23:24

WFH. Alarms set for 7.15 and 7.30. Get up, make DS a sandwich for his lunch.
He leaves for school just after 8am so I go back to bed with a cuppa.
I've done some bits and bobs before that. At my desk at 9am.

I'm a night owl. Evenings are busy with shuttling DS, my own sport, dinner and housework. I'll sit down at 11pm with an orange and some crappy telly then try and be in bed before midnight. Read and sleep. I always wake at least once in the night.
I try and catch up at the w/e unless either me or DS2 have something on (football, races).

Richandstrange · 03/02/2025 23:34

My first alarm is set for 4.45am (up for 5, out for 6) and I'm still up 😱 dozed off on sofa from 7.30pm til nearly 10.30 so not feeling tired now, will be kicking myself in the morning 🙄

Fifthtimelucky · 03/02/2025 23:41

Mine used to be 5.45.

Happily I am now retired but am usually awake soon after 6 and lie in until about 7.30.

motherofonegirl · 03/02/2025 23:41

5am on the days I work (I'm a teacher). School starts at 8.10am and I leave the house at 7am. My non working days 5.55am to get my daughter on the bus at 7.10am.

BitOutOfPractice · 03/02/2025 23:42

6am usually. To get to the gym before work. I work for myself so no set time to get in and my Office is 8 minutes walk away.
