Hiya all... I'm just woundering is it normal to be called really bad names by your spouse over a row I might have caused it's rubbish tbg..Since then that's all I've had is silent treatment and when I do speak I get nothing back o a bad name .... It's been like this for years on and off but the older I'm getting I don't know if it's the norm and I'm putting up with it. Anyone else been through anything like this

Well, it's not normal for me.

DH has never called me names, and I've never called him names.

That said, people have different expectations and tolerance levels for bad language. Because it isn't okay for me, doesn't mean other people think the same. So I'm not able to say that either of our experiences are 'the norm', just what I am prepared to tolerate.

Sister, no, it absolutely is not normal. It shows a disrespect for women, and specifically, you.
