England/ Scotland border

I live in NI, and, while I wouldn't say it's very common, there are some people who go to school on the other side of the border. I'm pretty sure they are "grannying" and use a family member's address on the other side of the border.

And I was just wondering if this happens on the England/ Scotland border? Do you have to pretend you live in the other country? I imagine it's not a big thing on the England/ Wales border because afaik it's the same school system? Maybe I'm wrong.

I was inspired by reading an article about Berwick upon Tweed while deciding on my holiday to England.

Interesting question - cornhill is a village on the border with I think no primary

All the nearest schools will be on the other side - I mean it's almost walkable for a small child to Coldstream
