Where do you actually use bleach to clean around the house?

Just read the bleaching carpet thread. Quite roundly and rightly dismissed as an insane practice by MN.

So where do you actually use bleach around the home? Do you actually use bleach for anywhere other than the toilet?

Bleach can discolour white plastic and make it brittle. Constant use of bleach in domestic waste pipes may eventually cause breakdown of seals and joints resulting in leaks. We had a major leak at work because the cleaners were using too much bleach on a daily basis to flush out pipe work ( dental surgery). We use cleaning fluids that are designed not to damage the plastic pipe work. They are generally hydrogen peroxide based.

Bleach damages floor coverings, apart from porcelain tiles in the kitchen I use soap based products for cleaning most surfaces and limit the use of bleach to mouldy grout in the bathroom.

Toilet
Bathroom sink
Grouting (when it starts to look mouldy)
Kitchen sink
