Belgium F1 trip for DH & DS - can anyone help re travel options

Hi, I've booked a brthday trip for DS to Spa Francorchamps and wondered if anyone else has been and how you got there.

They're staying v close to the cicruit so would just need to get there on the Friday and back on the Sunday. We want the quickest/easiest travel option so would appreciate any tips. Is it better to fly, use the train or something else.

Is driving an option? Ferry to Dunkirk and Belgian motorways are pretty easy and toll free?

We stated about 45 mins away as that was the only accom we found and booked parking on site. Was a pain to leave after the main event. I have been to Silverstone and Abu Dhabi as well and of the three, Spa was the worse organised.

Hi we went from the Uk to Spa F1 last year Fri-Sun. Fab long weekend. We drove (Euro tunnel from Folkestone to Calais) on the Friday morning. Very easy drive / no tolls etc from Calais. Our airbnb was in Malmedy. The shuttle to the track was hugely convenient. Do not underestimate the size of the track and the walking (uphill) to get to your seats.
