Have all the aeroplanes on flight radar over london turned off their engines?

Sky is totally empty over London right now.

Plenty of planes here in London. What would Philadelphia and a Lear jet have to do with international travel?

From Flightradar it looks like LHR are on easterlies ATM (i.e land/depart east) so arrivals aren’t overflying the city, they approaching from the west, from Windsor direction.

On the easterly departures the flight paths “splay” shortly after takeoff to route NE or SE to avoid overflying the centre of London…

So there could be less aircraft noise in central London this AM but it’s down to the wind direction driving runway choice, nothing to do with Philly.
