Fed up with always bleeding

I had treatment for CIN3 nearly two years ago at 32 years old. Now 34 and ever since that I've had trouble with bleeding between periods, I'm getting really fed up. Before Treatment, would only have bleed for 3-4 days when it was my period. Now I bleed more days of the month than I don't.

  • Spotting/Light bleeding every single cycle from CD19-21. Continues until heavy flow starts (period) CD26-29.
  • I have occasionally had a day of bleeding around CD8 - CD11. I never had this before treatment.
  • Pelvic and Internal scan told all looked normal but womb lining thickened at CD18 when scanned. Bleeding started after internal scan.
  • Had 'test of cure' 6 months after treatment, smear came back normal although I bled on contact with the sample brush and it continued all afternoon.
  • I'm single so not had sex since treatment but if I did I imagine based on the fact I've bled each time anything has made contact with 'up there' that I would bleed.

When I had my last smear the doctor had a look at my cervix and claimed it looked fine and as she'd expect after Lletz/treatment so no action was taken.

I have been offered the pill to stop my bleeding but at my age i'm frightened to alter my hormones anymore as I have yet to have children. I would also prefer and would have hoped things would have sorted themselves out by now.

Is it just coincidence my hormones have become so imbalanced after the treatment? The few months before treatment were very stressful for me as I waited to find out if what I had was CIN or cancer.

Op I have similar . Cin3 removed at 30. I missed my next due period after this. Had a smear 6 months after I got the all clear.
I'm now 32. 33 this year.
My periods have never been the same. They are now further apart and only lightly bleed for 2/3 days MAX.
Prior to the procedure my periods where double over pain standard ! And very heavy bleeding 5-6 days .
I seen gynecologist and they said the procedure will have had no effect on my periods, she said I'm also not going through perimenopause. I had bloods and scans.
I find it very hard to believe the procedure hasn't had an effect on my periods !

@bagheera92 So you have had the opposite affect to me in that your periods have become lighter and further apart but I have been bleeding a lot more. I really hope I am not going through Peri, I haven't had my children yet! :(

And it just seems like coincidence for it all to have started right after this treatment!

Yes opposite ! But similar in the sense it started after the procedure . Gynea are adamant it's not off having the cells removed, it's not perimenopause. But something doesn't feel right to me.
I've had children and I'm done would just like to know what's going on with my body

Have you had any blood tests to check your hormone levels?
