Hi,
I am hoping a regular Amazon user might be able to help.
I ordered some vinyl flooring from an Amazon seller. Things didn’t go well as the delivery estimate changed to several days later almost straight away.
It wasn’t immediately obvious to me that the seller was based abroad ( his address is in the listing but I have never had a problem with Amazon and didn’t check as didn’t know it might make a difference).
Anyway after several delays the tracking shows the item is on the way back to the seller, never having even reached the U.K. The item shows as undeliverable in my Amazon account and the message says to report a problem with the order. If I do this I just get a message to say the item is delayed.
I clicked on the link for further help and got a message to say that my purchase is excluded from the Amazon A-Z guarantee, but I have no idea why.
They require 3 complete days after the latest delivery estimate, and for me to have contacted the seller and left at least 48 hours for reply before they will even look at the matter.
I paid via a card and feel reasonably confident that I will eventually get a refund, but is there any way to avoid purchases not covered by Amazon? I use them because I trust them to deliver, and I didn’t see anything different about this advertisement.
