Robot vacuum and mop

What brand do you recommend for a robot vacuum and mop?

I bought a Roborock QRevo vacuum and mop and was over the moon. About a month in, it just stopped working. It could not save the map, then stopped mopping. After contacting the absolutely waste of time ‘tech support’ and after I had to ‘prove’ it was faulty, the manufacturer eventually accepted that there was a bug in the code and it had to be returned.
I bought it from Amazon and requested a replacement as I was happy with the product other than the fault. BUT, they don’t do replacements! I had to send the faulty one back, then wait to get confirmation that Amazon had received it. Then wait 17 working days for a refund.
Now, I need to decide do I buy another one knowing the rigmarole I’ll have to go through if it’s faulty again, or do I change brand??

I’m interested in this, but when I asked on here the general thought seemed to be that the mopping wasn’t great, and the hoovering was just a light going over. You’d need to hoover properly occasionally.

We have a Eufy, which we love but we still need to do a deep clean mop occasionally

I have/had an Eufy mop but the wheel fell off after a few months. Then battery went dead and I couldn't be bothered to fix as it misses corners anyhow.

Funny you should say that as I also have a vacuum only roborok for upstairs and it’s ok but I feel it ‘surface vacs’ and can’t really deep vac. 🤔

Have you just gone back to normal hoovering instead?

I have hard floors. I have an Roomba which I love. I also have a iRobot braava.
The Roomba can cope with Rugs and the hard floors.
For laminate the Braava can wet and dry mop which is great.
On balance if I could only have one it would be the Braava. I have brought reusable washable pads for it. They work fine. I spray the floors with cleaner before it cleans with water.
But the 1 use pads are good too. The dry floor mop ones can be used a couple of times. I just hover the dust off.

Mrburnshound · 31/01/2025 13:41

The braava is currently very discounted!

I was about to buy a power scrub but im tempted now. Will it work on horrible textured tiles?

BigDahliaFan · 31/01/2025 14:37

We've got a braava jet - I wouldn't recommend it. it's shit really and was quite expensive. It takes for ever and doesn't really clean that well...

I love my roomba hoover I've had for years.

Correct - use a normal plug in hoover. The Eufy was only good on hard floor also, useless on carpet.

We've got a self emptying eufy, I love it. Its got spinning mopping discs that go away and wash itself when needed and we just need to empty the dirty water tank, fill up the clean water tank and wash the mopping plate washer. It dries the mopping plates itself so they don't get rank.

The dirty water certainly looks really dirty, and our floors look clean so I'm happy with how its working. It was expensive though. But we have 2 kids and 3 cats and it gets used at least every other day, so I think my house is definitely cleaner that if we didn't have it!

I'd agree with that though, we had a deebot before that did much better on carpet compared to our eufy, but we only have 2 rooms with carpet in the whole house so tend to just do those with our older upright so its not a big deal. depends on your carpet to hard floor ratio I guess

Cakey46 · 31/01/2025 17:21

I like the eufy for carpet but the downstairs one that mops was disappointing- the mop attachment fell off everytime it went up onto the back door rug. I don't bother mopping with it now just use it for vacuuming.
