Chinese Lunar New Year in central London - how busy?

Would love to take DC in to see the Dragon parade. DD struggles a bit with noise though we do have ear defenders.

Just wondering really how are the crowds? Does it feel uncomfortably busy?

It is really really busy yes! But uncomfortably so? We all have different ideas about this. I mean I love the bustle and excitement but that's why I go!

I wouldn't say the main thing is noise though; just people. If your child is under 12 maybe make sure you hold hands? I go with Dh and adult dcs but we usually pre decide a meet up place as we might not hear phones.

Well, if you compare it to the Notting Hill Carnival it is probably not as busy, people much less aggressive and safer all round.

I think you have to experience it at least once in your life. It's an amazing sight.

Thanks that’s really helpful! Still in two minds - might see how DD is doing on the day.

Also I know DP won’t be up for the hassle and it is a two person job with our kids. So if I’m going to push this, I’d have to be very confident it’ll work!
