Flight radar... Fascinating diversion

Hear a helicopter go overhead yesterday and thought I'd have a nose on the flight radar app ... Turns out it was probably royalty as it went to Sandringham

Do love a nose on the app, wondering who it could be, where they're going etc.

Also interesting watching the military helicopters do their searches/exercises over east Anglia!

Yeah I'm fascinated when you look at the world as a whole and how many planes there are!!! And the areas where there's none.

Ah, it didn't actually have one... It was picked up at Mangrove Road right near Kensington Palace, and flew to Sandringham Palace (went off radar just north of West Newton)

So fairly certain it was royal.

There's threads on MN quite often, particularly in windy weather 😁and we also like a spot of Big Jet TV. He broadcasts live from Heathrow Airport and it's usually his filming they use on the news when there's been some lively weather and difficult landings.
