Student photographer needed Borough area London, any suggestions of local colleges to apply to?

Have an event in a couple of months in the Borough area of London and need a few pics taking during the day.

Happy to pay a photography student perhaps.

Anyone any ideas on local colleges? Not from the city so not sure whats about

Southwark College is on the Cut - very close - and will have keen photographers among their media students

Not sure why a student photographer in particular as I would hope that you are going to pay them the proper rate for the job required and not be framing it as "good for their portfolio/experience".

Morley College is in Lambeth North. They are an adult education college that does lots of arts subjects. I went there, it was really friendly. So try them.

What makes you think the Op is out to scam someone? Maybe they have a limited budget,
of course a student photographer wouldn't expect the same rates as a professional photographer.

You would be surprised how many do try it on because they don't value the student's time properly and do want it for peanuts and try to frame it as them helping the student get work for their portfolio .

My post said - I would hope they are going to be paying them the going rate and didn't say this is outrageous that you aren't!

Camberwell Art College is super close.

Why a student? Possibly for the same reason I go to the local beauty college for my hair and nails 😬
The going rate for a student obviously isn't the same going rate for a professional- that doesn't mean anyone is being ripped off! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Make sure you pay them fairly.

Ive contactected 3 of the colleges who push out jobs to their students.

All have told me THEIR rates per hour which Im more than happy to pay as well throwing in breakfast lunch and refreshments.

Hope all the concerned sleep well tonight knowing no one is getting ripped off 😵‍💫
