A quiet pub near Clapham Junction

I know this is niche, but I'm meeting an old friend near Clapham Junction on a Thursday evening soon and we'd love somewhere which isn't standing room only where we can get a seat and have a proper catch up. Any ideas?

Lots of bars and pubs in the area - notably on Northcote Road or St John's Hill beyond Plough Lane. You could just walk to either and see what takes your fancy.

The one I'd probably go for is Scratch Bar in the Battersea Arts Centre on Lavender Hill
