Who is your embarrassing cringe famous person crush? I'll start with what I suspect is the most embarrassing - Emmanuel Macron. I know he's a total tool and arrogant, and it's cheesy as hell but honestly I just think yes! Even that CRINGE photo of him with his shirt wide open and hairy rug chest on display, remember that? Everyone mocked, I mocked, and yet.....
😳

The captain from 'Ghosts'
Not Ben Willibond who plays him.
And I know he is gay and a ghost and imaginary .

Greg Davies
Philip Glenister (in Life on Mars)

What on earth is embarrassing about Greg Davies?

He's a Mumsnet fave.

Watching TV tonight, something about Jerry from The Good Life sent me a bit funny 😳.

Jacob Rees-Mogg

😳

Redheadedstepchild · 30/01/2025 01:56

Lex Fridman. I'll let you work out the attraction/strangeness for yourselves.

ImWithGuineaPigsOnThisOne · 30/01/2025 02:32

Rishi Sunak is kind of dishy. Why do I find Tories sexy? Their policies are loathsome! It's bizarre. I draw the line at Boris Johnson though. Bleurghhh!

Too many responses to read, and he’s fictional, but Ted Lasso

Oooh yes, Ted Lasso. I would marry him, if he was real. Such a laugh.

Also, Christopher Dean. 😍 So dominant and manly. Just for a sexual relationship, though - I wouldn't want him bossing me around out of bed, and I reckon he would be a tightly-wound nightmare, from what I've read in their Torvill and Dean books. A sexy affair though..mmm...MMMMMM!

You like Tories and you protest too much. OF COURSE you want Boris!!!!! The denial is strong in this one...😂

Nah, I don't go for blondes. Except maybe Daniel Craig and Dan Stevens

missdeamenor · 30/01/2025 05:45

Ted Bundy.

Lots of quietly dominant men mentioned. I wonder if we're secretly getting fed up with the baby carrying, trolley pushing, socks and sandals new man. Do women secretly want machismo back?

I had forgotten about him but I completely agree.

Ben Fogle! Not sure why

I don't even want to start thinking about how she could know that.

She had showers with Boris, when young.
I, also, find him attractive. Perhaps, a slimmer version, though !!

Lee Mack for me. I love his witticisms.

Newsflash. It's possible to carry a baby and be manly. In the same way as it's possible to build a house and still be feminine.

Machismo isn't the word that comes to mind with Ted Bundy. Sociopathic maybe. Evil maybe.

Lentilweaver · 30/01/2025 09:12

No, I think I would rather a sandal wearing man than one who strangled me and had sex with my dead body.

He's an old bloke who's still got it, Chris Dean.

Oh yes, if we're talking Ghosts, Thomas Thorne... I mean, I like Matt Baynton too, but really only as Thomas. When they did the Q&As during lockdown and he had a beard and long hair he reminded me rather too much of my ex SIL, which tamped down my desire somewhat. But Thomas, on the other hand...

I liked MB as Pachacuti! Didn't fancy him but he made me laugh until I almost piddled my pants.

Not embarrassing but maybe not an obvious choice - Roy Keane.

I have fancied Roy Keane since the 90s. He's aged really well. I think he's possibly a bit of a dick though. But we wouldn't have to talk 😉
