Help me find a place to live?

Lifelong Londoner here in a huge conundrum.

DH and I travel a lot for work and need to be quite close to Heathrow (20-30 mins max).

But don’t want to live under a flight path!

Any suggestions for where is good to live with nice houses and also a quick commute to Heathrow? Plus a good train line/tube to get into central London as when not travelling we are in the office.

I’ve lived here my whole life and cannot find an area that fits the criteria!!

Well, it depends on your budget, size of property etc. If you have the funds, Bagshot, Windlesham, Lightwater, are close to the M3/M25 for Heathrow.

I don’t know how it is by public transport to Heathrow / car in rush hour…. But I love cookham and surround areas up the river. Seems like a lovely place to live. Visited a few times. Very friendly, and felt like a lively village (to me). Looks to be about 25 min drive to Heathrow.

Maidenhead and surrounding areas (inc. Cookham mentioned above) - half hour to Heathrow as long as the traffic isn’t bad.

And i think there’s a train station (near cookham) with changes, or a more direct line from Maidenhead
