In the last six weeks I've had the glue, a cold and norovirus. My immune system has taken a beating! I know it's largely unavoidable at this time of year, especially with two primary-aged DC but I think I've suffered enough this last month or so to last me at least until the summer.

What do you do to keep the viruses at bay in the winter?

This has happened to me as well. I had a horrible gastric flu type thing. Then two different bouts of flu followed by pneumonia. I’m worn down, mentally, physically and emotionally.

Do you take a high strength vitamin d supplement? Have you had a blood test to check iron levels?

It's not just you. This winter has been particularly bad. I'm no health expert but I think it's because this is the first year we've really behaved as if Covid never happened. Even last year we were distancing/isolating/testing etc. Now people just go about their lives, spreading all sorts. Our immune systems barely got any germs for almost 3 years - it was bound to catch up with it.

Keep hydrated, get your vitamins through fruit and veg, and I'm almost certain next year will be a lot better.
