Day 5 of anti biotics and daughters cheek still bit swollen

That’s it really, it’s still swollen but has gone down . She had a 2nd filling after the first one fell out last Wednesday l, as her tooth cracked. dentist checked her and gave her antibiotics . It’s gone down in swelling but she said last night she couldn’t sleep properly. She says she isn’t in pain, just sore inside the cheek. Swelling is still there but not as much it’s day 5 and she should be much better but isn’t. At this point would you suggest I take her to GP rather than dentist? As I expected day 5 for her to be nearly completely better and no swelling at all?

No I'd go back to dentist they are much more likely to be able to treat it and know what is normal for post filling problems.

If it’s a baby tooth it is very likely it will need to come out but you need to go back to dentist. There are very ,very few dental problems that antibiotics cure.

Adult tooth. Dentist prescribed the anti biotics. She tried to open her friends bottle of drink and all this from that! Nightmare, first filling fell out and second caused her cheek to swell. She cracked her tooth. Dentist said it was her tooth cracking not the filling that caused the swelling.
