Has anyone had any drama or issues with his lot?

They are incredibly pushy and scammy. I live near Chester and they're currently in the station and have been for the last few weeks disturbing people "for a chat"

I presume they're all over the country?

Yes I had problems with them a few years ago. I've not seen them about recently.

The first time I heard their speil I found it interesting but told them I aleady supported a few charities with standing orders - only small amounts- and couldnt afford any more. Which was fine but i got approached multiple times in town centres and even had a door step caller.
i got thoroughly disenchanted with them.

i had experience with this lot one time!

Knocked on the door and started the ‘we’re from the deaf children society’… spiel… all scripted trying to get you to sign up for a direct debit.

so immediately I answered them in bsl (am hearing but fluent in sign language)

That totally threw them - spluttering about not knowing sign language etc… not great for s deaf children’s charity…

One of my pet hates is ‘chuggers’ like this - banging on door or stopping you in the street because they are paid to get donations. Have all the time in the world to listen to people who genuinely care and are connected to a charity asking you for support - but these scripted chuggers really annoy me.

they left without a donation…
