This towel is just 1 of many items in my home that DH and I have no idea where they came from? We don't have kids, never bought them, weren't gifted them- just random things which arrived at some point and stayed. Please share your random things.

I've got a plastic model of Captain Scarlett.
🤣

Unescorted · 25/01/2025 21:50

Pig weight tape.

Dutchhouse14 · 25/01/2025 21:52

I've got a number of random. Things that no one know where they came from, shorts, sweatshirts, t shirts, a rugby ball
I mean they must be someone's!
I do have 4 teens/ young adults so always suspect it's their friends but no one claims them.. However Ipads, phone chargers etc always get claimed!

This dog is one of the most random things I own, I actually bought it online and waited ages for it to arrive, but if anyone from my house asks I happened to stumble across it in a charity shop 🤣

We have a drinking glass and we have no idea where it came from. It says made in France in the bottom, but we didn’t bring it back from France. It’s very tall as well, taller than a glass that you’d get in a pub and nobody remembers pinching it from a pub, so it’s just a mystery.

DilemmaDelilah · 26/01/2025 08:04

@Linnet Arcoroc are a very common brand of drinking glass easy to get in the UK (or they were, anyway). They have 'made in France' on the bottom.

A Ty beanie dinosaur. It doesn't belong to any of DS' pals, I didn't buy it....

TickingAlongNicely · 26/01/2025 08:10

A dress.
Its a size 8, so not mine.
DD1 was 10 when it appeared, and dar too big for her.
It wasn't new.

We have no idea, it just turned up in the shoe box!

A Miele vacuum attachment. We have a Dyson 🤨

Andnowshesatoddler · 26/01/2025 08:14

A red pan for a gas hob - we have an induction hob and always have and my husband hates red so we wouldn't have brought it.

Azandme · 26/01/2025 08:16

This is no longer here because it immediately went in the bin (after photos to prove my unbelievable tale), but we found a FLESHLIGHT inner in the back garden!

We do have klepto foxes in the area but apparently we also have a neighbour who air drys their sex toys in their garden...

👀👀👀

A pair of white apple ear pods arrived on my front door step one day. Mystery who they belonged to (most definitely no me or DH) and we have very young children so not them either. Wondered if they somehow ended up in DS school bag, contacted the school, no claim. Weeks later someone arrived at my door - complete stranger - who was posting the charity clothes bags and mistakenly posted his AirPods weeks earlier and was too embarrassed to ask for them back. Mystery solved and now returned to their rightful owner 😊
Although I have a random large yellow bath towel, where it came from remains a mystery.

Blue278 · 26/01/2025 08:23

There are tiny plastic dogs sitting on top of various switches and cabinets in my house.

Different breeds. Maybe Playmobil.

We moved here two years ago and it was a year before we found the first one and now we have found 4.

Linnet · 26/01/2025 10:36

@DilemmaDelilah thanks that’s interesting and having looked there are glasses by them that are similar but not quite as tall.

However sadly it doesn’t solve the mystery of how it suddenly appeared in our house and nobody knows where it came from 🤷🏼‍♀️

Glad I found this post, I have a round white kitchen table, in the middle I have a wooden mat that I often put a vase of flowers on, no flowers at moment so the mat sits in the middle of the table, yet each time I go in the kitchen it's seems to have moved, I move it back to the centre but each time I come back into the room it seems to have moved again...I'm sure I'm losing the plot 🤣
