Cot for cosleeping

My daughter is outgrowing the next to me crib and I am looking to transfer her into a cot next to the bed for cosleeping (instead of in her own room). Has anyone done this before and could recommend a cot please?

I've seen online Ikea Gulliver hacks but I can't seem to compute the instructions running on low sleep! If anyone has used this cot can you advise? How do you get the cot to be the right height next to the bed mattress with only three sides on the cot?

We had the IKEA one. Basically you build it as the daybed with one side missing and then you drill new holes to position the mattress so it’s flush to your bed height wise. There will be a gap where the fourth side would be, you push the mattress against your bed so it’s right up against it and level and just use a rolled up towel or piece of foam to fill the gap on the other side. It’s actually very easy. That cot got us through about 4 years of combined co-sleeping.

@mindutopia thanks so much, appreciate that! Hoping it can give us some more space and time, so glad it lasted so long for you!

@mindutopia were the sides of the cot not too low then? As in baby could climb over and out of them?

We’re trying to do the same thing but can’t figure it out.

@YellowHatt sorry I didn't see this until now. Today I have done the cot and it works well so far! I think when she can stand I'll have to lower it as it's currently on the high setting so it's level to the bed but for the moment it seems to be okay!
