Is it humanly possible to open a chuppa cup wrapper without scissors ?

Just wondering is it just me and I am incapable of opening a chuppa cup lollipop without scissors 😂
They place them right by the checkouts to lure you into buying one for the little ones then you are stuck in the car park for 5 mins faffing around quietly cursing under your breath. In the end I usually have to resort to using my teeth. So is it just me or do others suffer as well ?

Don't try to peel the wrapper.

Hold the wrapper still on the stich with one hand and turn the ball with the other.

In the UK they're called Chupa Chups but I assume the same kind. Impossible!!

Ooh I used to love them. The banana chocolate ones were amazing.

But now I'm a massive hypocrite and wouldn't let my DC near them if I saw them..I might buy one and secretly eat it in the utility room out of sight though!

My husband can do it with some kind of twisting against itself motion similar to what @Sprogonthetyne described. I’ve never mastered it and end up chewing them off if he’s not around.

I’m sure there is a right way but I haven’t worked it out !! It’s a pain in the ass .🤣🤣

Wishboneswishes · 25/01/2025 07:12

I totally get this! I bake kids birthday cakes and use them as decorations and the last few packs I’ve bought have been absolute little feckers!

SnowyIcySnow · 25/01/2025 07:13

Just twist them.
It's easy???

Completelyjo · 25/01/2025 07:13

I’ve never used scissors!

Mumdiva99 · 25/01/2025 07:14

Hold and twist. Don't pull till it's untwisted.

Now - when mine were small these were the cheap ice pops in the Local shop. Never mastered these. I would end up with two melting bits that you couldn't get the ice pop out of.....

I twist the bit that's over the lollipop itself, sometime they an be a bit stubborn but I've never used scissors or teeth!
