Vinted feedback

Do buyers just not leave it anymore?!

I know this is an absolute non- issue, but I've been pondering it.

DS has had a growth spurt so I've been uploading a lot of his clothes, all for £1 or £2 a pop. I have sold a fair few bundles, that have been arriving with buyers this week.

When I've done this before, the buyers have always been pretty quick on leaving feedback when marking the item as received, but this time round, only a couple have actually left feedback.

I don't know whether to leave feedback in return, because I don't know if they're actually happy with the items or transaction!

Is this a new thing? That people just don't bother? Vinted keeps prompting me to leave feedback but I don't know whether to, if the favour isn't being returned!

I really don't know why it's bugging me so much!

I rarely bother. It's a weird system really. Either they post it in time or they don't. It's either we described or it's not and even if it's not I have to pay to return it anyway so it seems a bit pointless 2bh.

I always leave feedback, but you’ll get automatic 5⭐️ feedback anyway if they don’t raise a complaint or if they just do nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️

I noticed this too. I used to get feedback after nearly every sale, but hardly ever now.

Ginkypig · 24/01/2025 16:22

I do but I think that’s partly because I used eBay for so many years!

I find it useful when I want to buy too as the details give a bit of information about generally how decent the seller and the items are that a basic star system does really convey.

like others have said though you do get stars automatically if sale went ok.

If they were not well mannered enough to leave feedback for you, I wouldn't bother leaving feedback for them. This is only what I would go by. Don't worry about Vinted.

That seems the best system. If people have a problem they'll complain, if they don't complain, then you get a 'reliable seller' point from that buyer. No news is good news and all that. What more is needed?

I do try to leave reviews, but I think part of the problem is you pick them up out and about, often, rather at home when you're likely to have a chance to do it all in one go before you've cleared the notification.

I don't like the interface for reviews either, wish it was all one page. I never communicate with sellers, so tapping around all that stuff is annoying when I only want to say it's here and as described.

But you get an automatic five star review anyway if no feedback is left so what difference does it make?

As a buyer, I tend to leave personal feedback if I'm impressed/happy (prompt posting, item as described or better than described, etc.) but won't bother leaving personal feedback if items are not quite as described/expected (e.g. sold as new without tags but clearly worn...) and/or I'm pushed for time (sometimes I do intend to but forget...).

I also sell on Vinted and find about 1/3 of buyers leave me personal reviews.

Edit to add: I find Vinted is very "needy" in terms of auto-messages, requests for feedback, etc... it's easy to just roll my eyes and ignore because I feel so bombarded (so if pushed for time/I don't have the inclination to "faff", ignore is exactly what I do...)

widelegtrouserleg · 25/01/2025 11:50

Thanks all. I guess it is just a thing now! A few months ago it seemed everyone left feedback on receipt.

I'm a buyer too, and always leave good feedback if I'm happy. It just seems polite!

I don't know why, but I just feels rude that my recent buyers aren't bothering. I feel a bit different about selling DS's clothes now. Before I felt like they were going to grateful homes, but now it just doesn't. Maybe I'm feeling more sensitive because it's my precious baby's clothes!

Just to add that the process for returning ‘not as described’ has changed and the seller can pick up the postage cost now.
