I've been on maternity leave for a year, i got paid smp from work until october, im an agency worker on 0 hours contract. i always had in mind and got told too that i would accrue holidays during this time. today my employer told me i haven't got none. this is weird or they are right?
And plus i've asked them if i could work 2 days a week 10 until 18. they said it's ok but in 3 months i would need to go back to my normal shift 5 days a week from 22 till 6 am... which is definitely not suitable with a baby at home. i breastfeed and they don't give me an option to express milk ( i don't want opinions saying baby is too big for breast milk, i will do as i please)
can they do this or am i being taken as a mug? if i'm agency on 0 hours, and i can't have holidays, i thought at least i could work the shift i've worked through all my pregnancy

I used to manage a warehouse and we'd regularly change peoples hours as a 'reasonable adjustment' for pregnancy, with the expectation they'd go back to normal hours afterwards. To be honest, I think maybe you should look to change roles if you can't do the hours you originally worked, and they can't accommodate the hours you want to do.

Can you not go back to the agency and try and find a role better suited to your needs?
