Travelling hand luggage only to see my niece. Can I take metal toddler cutlery with me?

It might help if you said what airport, airline and destination. (I can’t answer regardless but imagine those who can would need this info.)

Yes - certainly for Heathrow and Gatwick. We have done it -it may be picked up by the scanning machine and your bag looked at but you will be passed through fine. They are primarily concerned about blade size on the knives etc

It'll be fine. I had the pleasure of sitting next to a kid on a plane who had one of these and used it for most of the flight 😭

Well they should all be following the same rules, but the airline is irrelevant as it's what happens when it's seen on the X-ray machine that matters.

I would hope that it would be allowed through when the security officers look at it but couldn't be 100% sure. But there is usually the option to post something back from the airport if they won't allow you to travel with it, so could that be an option (or this might cost more than just ditching it and buying again at your destination).

I think its worth a try. Worst case scenario is that you have to bin it

Well my daughter got pulled over (12) I'm Ibiza for a banana in her bag so I'd take it out of the bag and put it it in the tray
