Is ginger ok if I cut mold bit off

Just want to ask if ginger is safe to use if the ends have gone moldy and I cut those off or if the whole thing is likely to be contaminated. I don’t absolutely need to use it but don’t want to waste it if I can use it.

I'd use it but I'm very relaxed about these kind of things.

I always use mouldy ginger, just cut the end bit off and it’s fine inside.

Absolutely fine, it's just not as juicy as when it's dead fresh.

Chopping the mould off anything is generally fine. Enjoy!
