Here it is folks, let’s carry on keeping it dry.

Are we there yet?
Nearly… there is a little pinprick of light at the end of the tunnel.

We can do this! 💪💪

Well done to all! This is the first time I've completed DJ, and it's good to know that I can do it. This thread has been a real source of encouragement, so thank you everyone for sharing your experiences.

Well done! This is my second "official" dry January and I found easier than I expected. Had some days where I wanted a drink, so substituted for non alcohol beers and ciders.

I may have a glass of wine tonight.

Just saw this interesting graph on Blue Sky. Seems like a lot of people are drinking less anyway - particularly the younger generation. I know my twenty something kids hardly drink at all.

I think the blip is the pandemic where the youngest and oldest seem to have drunk more than previously. Possibly loneliness for elderly/ older adults and maybe furlough for younger ones? Interestingly the trends of mid generation seemed to carry on and not rise. Maybe less stress with wfh etc?

Well done all! First time for me, I'm dead chuffed. I didn't even drink tonight despite having a chilled prosecco ready to go.

Mixture of headache, general thirst, too full from dinner and not sitting down to relax til 9.30 meant I couldn't be arsed!

33 days here as I was already hung over on new year's eve so didn't drink that night. Hopeful for a damp Feb.

Gutted not to have lost any weight though 😂

Hooray- I completed my Dry January! 🎉🎉 (Orthodox dates 😜).

32 days completely sober is the longest I have gone in my adult life, including pregnancy and living in countries where booze was hard to come by.

I'm proud of myself (and my husband), and also surprised that it wasn't quite as hard or boring as I thought it was going to be...

Despite that - looking at my app my average is still 21 units a week over the last 5 months, and I still want to change my habits in the longer term. For now, I'm sure my liver is thanking me and I've proved to myself I can do it, which is psychologically massive for me.

Thanks to the OP and everyone on the thread - see some of you over on the Damp Feb thread.
