Coffee at night

Does anyone here drink coffee late evening or at night and not notice an impact on sleep? I was thinking about the tradition of coffee after a meal. I remember my grandma having dinner parties that had coffee served anywhere from 9pm onwards.

My mil always had coffee late. I do believe she had adhd so it calmed her mind.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I used to always have a coffee after dinner, but stopped a few years ago. I have iffy sleep and don't know if the post-prandial coffee even is a factor, but just very leery of anything that MIGHT impact on my sleep. I'd never have caffeine after about 2pm now.

Yes, coffee was always offered after a meal at dinner parties. That and an after dinner mint! Lovely. My mum went through a coffee and Baileys phase in the 1990’s, ‘wobbly coffee’ she called it. She was so inspired by this that a smart new coffee set was bought (I still have it).

I rarely go out nowadays for dinner but when I do, I have coffee instead of pudding. I don’t think it keeps me awake, normally I don’t have coffee after about 2pm latest.

I have a coffee at about 10pm. Have since I was late teen. It's never affected my sleep of anything I sleep worse if I don't have my night coffee. To
Me it's just a milky hot drink. It's not particularly strong mind.

I don't drink coffee in the evenings just wine but am often known for going for a long nap straight after an afternoon coffee.

I used to always make myself a latte for after dinner, with a piece of dark chocolate. Not until I was over 50 did it make any difference to my sleep, but now it does, so I've had to cut it out. I still have the chocolate though!

My DH drinks coffee in the evenings and I drink tea. We probs have 3 mugs between 6-10pm. Both sleep fine. Although his coffee is just instant (Gold Blend) not one from a proper coffee machine.

I drink coffee all day and night. I'm an insomniac but it's not the caffeine causing that. When I'm having a good patch I'll drink a coffee before bed and sleep for 6-7 hours no probs

I can’t drink coffee past midday or I won’t sleep. But then again, I drink my coffee black and strong. Can’t abide hot milky drinks 🤢

I occasionally drink coffee in the evening if I fancy it. I don’t find that caffeine impacts my sleep or makes me feel more awake in the mornings. Sugar however, really does stimulate me and would keep m awake so tend to avoid that as much as possible after lunch time onwards!

Same-ish. Black coffee all morning. Tea and water until wine seems like a good idea. Somewhere in my mid twenties, I realised I could no longer drink coffee in the evenings. It's almost medication in the mornings.

I can't drink caffeinated coffee after about 2pm, usually just have one in the morning. Tea isn't a problem though.
