Taking inspiration from the butter thread...

What bread makes the best toast?

I'm a Warburton's toastie gal.

Tesco In-store baked Bloomer or Tiger loaf

Another vote for bloomer or tiger loaf here. The shape of the slices can sometimes be a challenge to get in our toaster though.

Waitrose heyford wholemeal. Proper old fashioned unsliced wholemeal bread, with salted butter, preferably Netherend Farm, and local honey or strong cheddar. Or both together

Whole meal seeded bread, the homemade looking loafs
Gorgeous with melted butter and marmalade! Salivating now

All toast with melted butter and jam is good though, especially with tea!

Vogel Soy and Linseed. Has to be lightlly toasted or it starts to get dry, but it's so dense and nutty. Mmmmmm

Otherwise a heavy (in weight) loaf that's crusty on outside but dense/moist on inside, that you can slice yourself into greedy thick slices

Tiger loaf yum 😋

StormingNorman · 21/01/2025 23:16

White farmhouse loaf - unsliced from the bakery. Salted butter and blackcurrant jam on top.

The salt and pepper bloomer from the Morrisons in-store bakery section. It's amazing.
