How much clothes do your dc have?

My two boys seem to have mountains of clothes but I feel like I hardly buy clothes which must obviously be wrong. Tbf they don't grow much but still. Also the younger one gets the older ones stuff when outgrown.

They have a chest of drawers each and wardrobe space but I've still got clothes that don't fit anywhere. Do I just need more storage or do I obviously have a problem

We have the same issue and I have 4. They don't have room in their wardrobes for all their clothes. But everything gets worn, it's just that there are items for different times of the year. I would love to find a storage system for eg summer clothes in winter , without having to use the attic as I find they get musty in there. Also mine have at least 5 pairs of shoes and 5 jackets/coats/raincoats. I've told dh we need to size up housewise!! Our house is too small. My dream would be to have walk in wardrobes in each room 😍

Go through all of them
Anything too small, stained, got holes in go in the rag pile.
Then go through them again, and separate t-shirts, jumpers, jeans etc. And see how many of each one you have.
Take any they don't like for any reason goes in a bag for the charity shop.
Anything that isn't weather appropriate goes in a bag / suitcase for the summer.
How many do you have now? More than the could wear in a week / 10 days then charity shop the surplus too.

Thank you for the English lesson.

They definitely have more than they can wear for 10 days. They wear school uniform most days so I don't even know why they have so many day to day clothes.

Deffo a sort out needed.

Loads. Running out of clean clothes is my biggest fear 😂 we have probably 8x school trousers/shirt/jumper, 10x sweatpants/hoodies, 20x t-shirts, 5x jumpers, 5x jeans, 5x shorts. I know 60 pairs of socks and 20 pairs of pants as I rebuy in Primark when getting small! Plus swim stuff/ski stuff/coats/trainers/2x school shoes/ballet shoes/football kit etc etc.

I do buy bundles from Vinted and then resell as bundles afterwards which helps me feel less consumer-y.

Perfect timing. We're drowning in kids clothes!

Keen to see the common consensus and use any tips to have a total clear out.

I often wonder if a capsule wardrobe for kids is a thing?!
