I watched this today and found myself wondering if Laura Linney ever found happiness? Did she and the hot guy from the office ever try again?

Did Kiera Knightley and her husband’s mate end up having an affair? Did the doorstep cuddle and little kiss start a fire burning?

And the biggest question - did the wife forgive her husband for sleeping with the lady from his office? I really hope she had enough respect for herself to leave him.

I hate loose endings.

Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson weren't in the Red Nose day sequel because Alan had previously passed away and they wanted to honour him. However, one of the script editors answered loads of questions on Twitter one day and said they stayed together but life was never as happy, which makes me sad.

It’s never explicitly confirmed in the film but she’s shown getting out of a mussed bed to put the necklace on and the writers have confirmed that they did the deed

This is how I view it too. I don't think they actually did anything.

I know that the producer has confirmed but I kind of think art belongs to the viewer and anything that is later said doesn't count.

Alan Rickman was really a German sleeper agent and fell off an American building. He had good life insurance though so Emma Thompson was ok, his bit on the side got nothing though.

I always assumed he was just having a late stage mid-life crisis, whilst ironically not noticing his wife was going through her own inner grapplings with motherhood and life transitions and nothing sexually ever happened with the other woman. I thought it was a very well executed scenario.

The idea that they did the deed is disappointing and I'd rather producers didn't comment on things they only implied in the briefest way afterwards.

It's now made my view of that character worse, whom I didn't actually dislike, just thought was foolish and aren't we all sometimes.

I suspect poor Laura Linney would never have been able to have a relationship unless and until her brother died.

Interesting to note that, in the Red Nose Day update, Hugh Grant has lost an election and then won one so he is back as PM in 2017. I like to think that, under Hugh, we would never have had Brexit, and would have been spared all the horrors of Johnson and Truss. If only.

From the first time I saw the film in 2003, I always thought it was obvious Mia slept with Harry because she got up from the messed up bed and put the necklace on he bought her. The debate about it for years on this website has always flummoxed me!

I hated this plotline so much... I just hate the guy friend, Andrew or whatever. Creep.
