6-yo speaking gibberish

DS, 6 years, sometimes speaks gibberish. Do other children do this? He does it when we're having "a talk" about something and he's sort of uncomfortable. For example, he's done something cheeky or if I ask him about something he's embarrassed about. I might say, "Why did you snatch that toy from your sister?" And his response is, "Deebop-bop-bop-boo-boo-bop" and/or just laugh and look away. He never used to do this, he used to just reply and say, "I don't know" or be a bit sheepish. We are in the process of getting some evaluations for neurodiversity, could this be a part? Or is this just a cheeky 6 yo?

That sounds like plain old embarrassment, he's developing an awareness but doesn't know how to handle it.
