Up until 2025 DPD have been one of the most reliable couriers in my area.
The big snow a couple of weeks ago seems to have crumbled their reliability.
We had a couple of days where no deliveries got through for anyone (rural village, understandable), but then the roads were mainly clear and all other couriers, even the shit ones, were getting through with no problems. But not DPD.
They delayed a parcel for me for a week, were unhelpful on the phone (said they didn’t have the parcel at all) and in the end EE (who sent the parcel) had to step in and rearrange it all.
Since then similar has happened to my parents, to me again (currently waiting for dog food) and to a few others I know.
It’s not just the delays though, DPD are changing their updates when you track the parcels. So an original chain of updates might have had several sections of “delivery delayed”, a couple of “x is out with your delivery, it should be with you between 12.00 and 13.00”, then further delays.
Checking on tracking later though, which was previously clear that the delivery was delayed, this has been changed to “we missed you in your allotted time slot”, and with a couple of deliveries after several days of changing updates it stated that the parcel had never arrived at their depot at all!
What on earth has happened to them!
