Do you get the Sunday blues, like me?

Spent the day painting my bathroom - pretty much done with a nice new shower curtain up, just need some touch ups tomorrow, and to hang some shelves

Dd woke up so late today so I've kept her up so she will sleep through the night

I put off our baths/hair until as late as poss but finally, we're in bed and waiting for her to sleep

Finally readyish 🥺

Are you ready for the week ahead?

I’m not ready but I’m ready enough to wing it.

Weekends aren’t long enough to relax, plus do fun stuff, plus see friends and family, plus get next weeks grocery shopping, plus clean the house, plus catch up with extra work tasks, could do with an extra day!

I am. Having an earlyish night and sleeping in the spare room as I've got a bit of a cough.

I'm eyeing up retirement but I really like my job, so I don't get the Sunday blues these days.

Sleep well OP 😴

We do need an extra day - fingers crossed the government gets to work on it tbh

Same, I'm ready enough to wing it 😩

Sorry you've got a cough, my dd has also

I've never liked a job, so it's nice that you can enjoy your remaining years there

Thank you, same to you x

As I'll ever be.
Clothes ready for the morning, lunch is in the fridge, bag is ready.
Kids bags are ready for nursery.
DH on night duty tonight if the toddler wakes (we take it in turns, occasionally will sleep through).
When I get to work tomorrow (teacher) my room is all set up ready and my lessons are all planned, resources all printed and ready to go. I could roll in the door at 840am and be ready to welcome children by 845am if I had to. I won't be, but it's nice knowing.
Meals for the week are already planned out too so I'm already looking forward to dinner tomorrow evening.
Next food shop delivery booked in for later in the week too.

The only thing I have forgotten to do is check the roadworks on my commute, there's one ongoing and another set that starts tomorrow morning so I should probably reroute my journey. I'll check over breakfast.

We've had a lovely weekend as a family and some stark realisation that my babies are growing up this weekend, there's light at the end of the tunnel, so I suppose I do feel ready to get back to the weekly grind, with a touch of sadness that time is flying.

Have a good week OP and well done for painting your bathroom. A successful weekend for you it sounds!

Pretty much ready. Lunch in the fridge, clothes sorted for the morning. I like my job but I loathe getting up early. Talking if which, I better get some sleep! 😊

Thank you 😊 I'd put it off for a year- feel good now it's almost done

Dd is poorly so the hanging of shelves will have to wait (defo not for another year 🤭)

You sound so organised, hope there was no issue getting in? x

Hope you made it in okay. I feel asleep sooner than I thought! 🤭
