How to get tickets for rugby 6 nations France v Scotland

Good morning all. I appreciate this is an unusual Mumsnet type question, but I'm hoping there might be someone out there who can help. Dd and her rugby playing friends are off to Paris for her hen do and can't get tickets for the match. Looks like they're all being sold through clubs. She's been asking around but no joy yet.

Are there any Scottish rugby club people out there who can help please?

Do they not belong to a rugby club? It's the only way to get tickets I find.... Our local club is £30 a year to join - with access to tickets to all the international matches.

To add - the 6 nations ticket sale for clubs was AGES ago - about July 2024....

They've way missed the boat. There are probably some ££££ corporate options.

Oh my, the tickets are hens teeth, and you can rarely just buy them. International rugby tickets are some of the hardest to get hold of even if you are in the know.
If they are in Paris, then find a bar with sports coverage and watch the match from there.
And if they don't know the difference between a ruck and a maul, then they need to be very careful not to show their ignorance as the other fans can be very funny with people who have no idea. But rugby supporters are normally very friendly if you do know what's what and who is who

Sorry, just read the do play so do know the finer details. But even more baffling they don't know how impossible it is to get tickets.....

Thanks everyone. They knew it was a long shot but were hoping they'd be able to get them through their club - sadly not so hence the trying further afield. Sounds like the French sell mostly just through their own clubs. They'll still have a good time watching in a bar

How many of them are trying to go to watch the match?

zizza · 21/01/2025 21:32

10 to 12. Most of them play, the others have been persuaded 😅

Even through a uk club overseas tickets are usually about 2 per club.
My DH and DS went to Ireland - England a few years ago and I had to virtually sell my soul to the club.
Apparently Italy tickets are easy to get though for future reference.

I've bought rugby tickets on viagogo before. Though expensive there weee no issues

Stade de France have their own ticket office. I'm assuming this is for the Scotland match. They haven't released any general tickets yet. If they're like the WRU they'll put them up for sale once the clubs have returned any that aren't sold.

They also have group tickets and you can email them for information.

I'm off to Rome for the Wales match. That reminds me you could try the rugby tour companies, we go with living with the lions, as they may have places on their tours as long as flights and hotels aren't booked.
