18 Months Old - Speech

Good evening all,
If anyone happens to come across my post with an 18 month old or family member aged 18 months or even a Childcare Provider, how many words on average are they saying?
I know that I can speak to the HV etc but I just wanted to jump on and ask.
Thanks in advance.

When S1 was that age the HV asked me "does he have half a dozen words?" so I think that was the benchmark she was working with.

S1 had half a dozen words for vehicles at that point. S2 at the same age had hardly anything comprehensible.

Current 18month old 0 but makes babble noises, older children have had words earlier

Thank you both for getting back to me.

I could not remember when my other child hit certain milestones even though you should not compare and each child is different.

My 18 month old is saying 3 words and much waffle. I posted on another page and there was a few site suggestions etc.
Thanks for the responses.
