I'm 50, recently had bloods done as it'd been a while and have been having a couple of aching body parts.
Doctor rang and said overall not too bad, but high cholesterol of 6.5 - which is not usual for me as it's hereditary in my family. It's always been between 5.5 and 7 2. I've a very healthy diet and exercise every day. Doc said, as I've never smoked, risk factors are low so he won't put me on statins at the moment.
Also, he asked me was I taking a B12 supplement as this was high, but didn't give a number. I'm not taking any supplements except Vitamin d.
Any ideas why B12 could be high and am I okay not to take statins for cholesterol of 6.5?
