Can i send something back on ebay if I got rid of the box?

I bought what was described as a brand new air fryer on ebay a week ago. It was in the box and the packaging was still on it. Used it last week and it was fine, went out and bought loads of stuff I can make in it then just turned it on tonight (for the second time since I got it) and as soon as I switched it on there was a blue flash of light and a loud bang, the lights went out on the air fryer and now it won't come back on, It started smoking so I have unplugged it.

Awful smell everywhere now.

I got rid of the box last week.

Can I send it back without the box?

I'm sure you can, you may just have to source a box from somewhere, or a heavy duty bag

It's faulty so they have to accept the return

Yes I’m sure you can, especially as it’s faulty. Just go to your orders and click on the item and there should be a link to return it. If there isn’t speak to customer service and they will give you a QR code.
