The battery on my Google pixel phone is about to die. I have no idea about mobile phones but would like to now buy either the pixel 7 or pixel 8. The thing is, is the SIM card in the 4a the same size as the SIM card in the pixel 7 or pixel 8? I would like to keep my existing mobile phone number.

I don't know but even in the unlikely event of your current phone having a big SIM rather than a micro then your mobile provider will be able to send you a new SIM and you can transfer your number so still keep it.

Might be worth checking your email. The new Android version causes battery issues so Google is offering a free battery replacement which is done through your local EE shop.
