Was anyone listening to Greatest Hits Radio today?

There was a Beatles / Wings song at about 10am ish and my menopause brain won't let me remember it. Almost orchestra-ish, potentially about love.

£10 to whoever can put me out of my peri misery.

You can search the website for today's playlist. The only Beatles song i could see was 'The long and winding road' but that was played around lunch time

Ken Bruce played a Beatles track in a question in Popmaster today, it was from Abbey Rd and was Golden Slumbers, only a snippet so probably not that?

You need to listen to the whole of The Beatles Abbey Road B side, which is largely a medley. Golden Slumbers is part of it. It’s stunning.

Ken Bruce played the whole thing as his last song on Radio 2. It was v emotional, not least it ends with a song called The End.

ps Wings are totally underrated, in my opinion. I love the albums Venus and Mars, and Wings at the Speed of Sound the best.

I remember his last day on radio 2, I had a bit of a cry!
