Hi, I have fallen for a scam today and I don’t know what to do. I had my Facebook account hacked and was locked out of it. In order to get back in I was asked for either passport or drivers licence to confirm my identity and I didn’t even think for a second and sent off a pic of my passport. My friend had to do this when her Facebook got hacked.
However, I have since found out that the emails didn’t actually come from Facebook and I have no idea who I sent it to. I am now terrified of what might happen.
I am currently deep in grief and my brain just doesn’t seem to work properly at the moment. I can’t believe I’ve done this. It all looked so genuine.
i don’t know what to do now. Can anyone help me? This is the last thing I need right now.
