Threads about dog shit and spit everywhere

Recently there have been endless threads about the UK falling to ruin, London being a hellhole and the rest of the UK rotting, "high value" individuals flooding out of the country, "low value" individuals flooding in, services falling apart, and...dog shit and spit everywhere.

I realise the shit and spit are added in to add a feeling of physical revulsion and nausea to the intended anxiety and panic evoked by the sustained negativity.

But why does it always have to be shit and spit? Why not vomit or urine or blood? Giant spiders? Kier Starmer's ear wax?

Challenge yourselves.

Poo crumbs?

I haven’t seen those threads, but I do regularly see dog poo and spit in my local area. To be fair there is also always (human) urine on the corner of my street too. Vomit is rare. Never seen blood.

Luckily I haven’t seen any giant spiders or Keir Starmer’s ear wax either but if I do I’ll make a thread about it.

The streets where I live are currently cluttered up with rotting uncollected Christmas trees.
Everyone knows it's only the middle class who have real trees. The plebs buy artificial ones from Home Bargains or Argos.
These damm posh people just dumping their posh Christmas trees.....what has the world come to 🎄

Poo crumbs?

Poo crumbs is good because they can cause anxiety without even being present.

I've not seen the threads you are referring too.
The town I live in has relatively tidy streets. But that's mainly due to the dedicated volunteer litter pickers, and irregular litter pickers such as myself , who keep the streets and beach in pretty presentable order.
But we do have, like most places, some antisocial dog owners, and also litter throwers, and very very occasionally vomit and spit on the pavements.
The worst problem though is in the good weather when we have large numbers of day trippers and the mess they leave behind for the volunteers to clear up is heart breaking. I don't understand the mentality of people who really don't give a damn.

Spitting isn’t a new problem. Years ago it was common to see signs saying “no spitting “. It spreads TB.

That's right: there used to be " no spitting " signs in the reading room in our town library where the old guys used to gather to look at the newspapers and keep warm during the day.
And there used to be spittoons in the bars of pubs.

Well, it doesn’t matter, on MN, what the problem is…it is ALWAYS the fault of dog owners! (And spitters, it would seem.)

And if a cafe or shop owner dares to let dogs in (probably to try to make a few extra quid amidst the COL crisis) then they should go straight to hell…

Dog shit isn't a problem in my area.
