Stewarding certificate necessary?

Bit overwhelmed when googling. Teens interested in stewarding this summer in London, wondering if anyone knows if a stewarding level 2 course is absolutely necessary, If so where best to obtain?

Any general info would be appreciated, teens are 16 and 18

Never heard of a qualification and I used to organise events. But as teens it may be useful to stand out in the application process

The qualification is L2 NVQ Spectator Safety. You can find training companies on Google. Your 16yo is too young unfortunately, they need to be 18 and over. Lower League football clubs don't need Stewards to have the certification
