Buyer failed to collect their item - it was waiting in the inpost locker for 6 days - and I’ve had a notification that it’s now being returned to me. It’s being sent to the inpost locker where I posted it, it seems I’m now expected to travel to collect it, so the buyer can be refunded.

If I don’t, what happens? The item sold for £5 so it really feels like a lot of faff to package, travel, post, then travel again to collect it in the hope it will sell again,

From what I understand, the buyer will still get a refund regardless of whether you pick it up or not.

InPost lockers normally only keep for three days. Is it possible the locker was out of order? This happened with a parcel I sent recently (buyer told me the locker was out of order but I could also see that on the InPost app and site).

As to what happens if you don’t pick it up, I guess InPost collect it and maybe destroy it? Depends how much you value £5. At least pass it to the charity shop if you don’t want that hassle of selling again (although it’s already packed - just use the same photos as last time and stick a label over the InPost one).
